Nothing is like autumn. Saying adios to 90 degree heat and the ever persistent humidity that creeps into my hair sending it whisping all over my head like a maniac’s crown  gives me a renewed energy. Saying hello to crispy weather, comfort foods and colorful ginkgo leaves makes it all worth the torture. It is the best part of the year and the part I wait (somewhat) patiently for during those other three seasons. This autumn: I’ll be making amazing things in the kitchen (and probably some disasters as well 🙂 ). Going to new places (getting my Vitamin D). And getting the most out of this weather. My Pinterest page has exploded with ideas, itineraries and designing the most autumnist of autumns. I will rule Autumn 2016.     to make wild mushroom lasagna by delallo kimchi udon stir fry by pickledplum savory tomato tarts with goat cheese by yellow lemon tree weeknight vegetable curry by smitten kitchen portuguese chicken with crispy potatoes by feasting at home last but not least, korean spiced chili from hapa …

The Flying Pan White & Autumn in Garosugil

We Seoulites can count ourselves lucky with all fingers and toes this year with how long we had a “autumn” in Korea. Some years it snaps by with a “see ya next year!” faster than I can get out and enjoy some colorful foliage. So with the beautiful weather all about and an empty stomach, my friend and I headed to Garosugil to walk through fallen ginkgo leaves and eat some brunch.  We weren’t disappointed with anything that day. (There’s also a Red in the GT Tower near Gangnam Station and a Gold in Samseung-dong. ) They all have ALL DAY brunch. Here’s what White is all about: The menu has a great many options. If eggs aren’t your thing, they have pancakes, french toast, sandwiches, salads and dinner dishes. There are vegetarian dishes as well. We ordered two meals with …

A Peachy October

I recently saw a brilliant idea from an adorable blog, With All My Affection, where the blogger posted Insta snaps as a monthly recap. And as you should be reading blogs for inspiration, I will bor-row the idea and work on monthly photo recaps for my Seoul life.  🙂 October The weather got chilly. There was an increase in the kitty snuggling. I found some amazing food. I got a new kitchen corner. I experimented with a few recipes.  It was Halloween two times over with costumes for school & a night out. It was a busy month. Click on the snaps for details! Many are from Instagram. But I have a bit of a different vision for future recaps… Have a beautiful November! Are you my Facebook friend? How about Instagram? Do I sound like I’m begging? Here’s two  more: Pinterest and Twitter! ❤ you!
